When I hit a block, I take some time off and focus on something else. Sometimes I will even take that time and learn how to do something new. In fact, my natural soap and body care business, Abba's Earth Soaps was birthed 15 years ago during a five year period of writers block. This was a very frustrating time for me, but I learned how to make some really amazing soap :) !

I'm currently working on two more teaching books on prayer, as well as a four part fiction series that is a modern day spin off of the book of Hosea.

1. Write because you love to write.
2. Write because you have something to say.
3. Write with the intention of producing a product of excellence.
4. Stop thinking about writing and write.
5. Write a 1st draft then put it away in a drawer for a few months.
6. Pull it out again, then rewrite.
7. Repeat steps 5 and 6 two more times then find an editor.

The idea for Intimacy the Beginning of Authority came from a teaching series I had taught on the subject for many years. The book is a culmination of those ideas.
