Don't give up! Writing isn't just something you do, it is part of who you are. For me the hardest part of writing is knowing when to say, "OK I have got this as good as it is going to be." And be sure to get a good editor and or proof reader. You can have a wonderful story to tell but if it is full of errors it will turn your readers away.

There are different things that inspire me and that is usually what determines the genre of my book. My husband who is quite funny in an accidental kind of way has inspired me to write a short that is about his misadventures. My poetry is usually inspired by my emotional state. Usually I am inspired by a desire to just tell a story.

I try to distract myself with something else. Usually I start journaling, about my childhood. After a few days I am back on track
