I though of the main character Alexia first then her story just played out. This is generally how I begin a new story—I create the character or characters first then the story follows. I think this is why I also feel more comfortable writing in the point of view of the main character.

I working on book three of the Layers series Beneath Layers. It's the end of Aleixia and Jaxson's story. Book four— Beyond Layers will be about Alexia's sister Sam. I'm hoping to ad a fifth and final book of the series that will tell the story of Jules.

I hate to sound like a Nike ad but… just do it. In the age of self-publishing if you have a story to tell you can. Not everyone is going to love what you write and for the majority of us we won't win any major awards and or movie deals but we have a voice and dare to voice it. Just remember—you can't win the lotto if you don't play!
