For my forthcoming release, "Amor's Grove", I had seen a call for submissions from a publisher for a collection of romantic short stories. It was based on a theme called "Lovely, Dark and Deep" and needed to be about what happens when you go off the beaten track in the woods.
It inspired me to write the story and I have decided to release it myself as a short story with a release date of 8th November.

I think that the best thing is allowing my imagination to run free. The fact that I can create worlds and characters and bring them to life for other people to enjoy is absolutely brilliant and whenever I receive a positive review or comment, it still gives me a little tingle of delight.

I tend to have several different projects on the go at the same time, encompassing all of my genres. That way, if the dreaded block appears while I am writing one of the stories, I can normally switch to another and continue with that.
I also have ideas and outlines for another four books already in my head so if the worst comes to the worst, I can start on one of them as well.
If I am ever truly blocked and can't write anything sensible, then I just pick up my kindle and read. That normally gets me back in the mood for writing.

I actually have three projects on the go at the moment. I am around 45000 words into an erotica short story collection, called "Tales From The Sauna", but have put that to one side for the moment while I start my second book in the Alex Hayden Chronicles. Called "The Howling Wind", I want to make some serious headway in it before alternating my writing as I normally do.
I am also in the process of writing a short MMR story for submission to Less Than Three's call for submissions for their 'Lovely, Dark and Deep" anthology.
