Alisa Hope Wagner I'm writing a fantasy fiction now entitled, F'lorna and the Riverdwellers of Rodesh. I would certainly go there and finish writing my book!
Alisa Hope Wagner I like to read a bunch of one author's books in a row. It's almost like being mentored by this author for a short season, learning the insights that he or she has gained over the years. Right now, I'm currently reading my third book by Kris Vallotton from Bethel Church in Redding California.
Alisa Hope Wagner The life of faith has a lot of waiting, because God knows it is in the waiting where we grow our faith. I think the mystery of watching all your dreams die, and God suddenly raising them to supernatural life would be an excellent plot for a Christ-centered book.
Alisa Hope Wagner I love bodybuilding and I love faith, so I mixed the two genres in my latest devotional book, Following God onto the Stage. This is the sister book to Following God into the Cage when I was a MMA fighter.
Alisa Hope Wagner I'm writing the second half of a 1 year devotional through the Bible. The first half covers every book in the Old Testament. And the second half covers every book in the New Testament. Each devotional only takes 2-5 minutes to read, and they each are full of encouragement and faith insights!
Alisa Hope Wagner Don't worry about the end result. Just keep writing, getting your heart and soul on paper. Let God worry about the results.
Alisa Hope Wagner I don't believe in writer's block--only writer's frustration. I have to force myself to write anyway. Usually, when I'm frustrated with my own ability, the Holy Spirit will pour in His. And this allows me to write so much better than I could in my own strength.
Alisa Hope Wagner I was twenty years old and a junior in college. I hadn't decided my major yet, and my guidance counselor explained that I needed to declare a major. I really wanted to study kinesiology, but God told me one day as I was entering my bedroom that I would be a writer. I remember shrugging my shoulders and thinking to myself, "Well, I better start reading more." I finally declared English as my major. The awesome thing is that 18 years later, God allowed me to get Personal Training and Sports Nutrition certified, and I wrote a book about fitness called, Fearlessly Fit. So my two loves--kinesiology and English--have finally come together.
