Phyllis P. Colucci Hello Joan, thank you for the info. I was unaware. So much of this goes on. Now with AI - it is as much a blessing as a curse. Did you receive one of those emails? If so, can you forward it to me? I would like to see and understand this better. - Have a wonderful day! - Phyllis
Phyllis P. Colucci Eerie shadows climbed my walls and brushed across my mirrors, while I sat and watched them invade my home. They came through the windows and the skylight, from the depths of hell, guided by the devilish moon.
Phyllis P. Colucci I would love to travel to the Land of Oz. That yellow brick road is enticing. The land of Oz is intriguing. The story was a masterpiece and remains a classic, today. If I were given the opportunity to walk that road, I would love to rewrite the plot a bit, and leave Dorothy there to rule with Glinda the "Good Witch"- then invite her friends and family to live in that fantasy world forever.
Phyllis P. Colucci Actually I'm busy doing more writing this summer. In between that, I enjoy reading biographies on historical figures, those in the entertainment field, and famous writers; anything on health and medicine; internet news; - and poems, excerpts, articles and editorials from great writers on "Spillwords.com"
Phyllis P. Colucci I love old houses. So much history there to trigger ideas for a book. I currently live in an old house in New York. While remodeling an old bathroom, our contractor found an "old" book from the 1800's buried inside an "old" concrete wall. Makes for a good story. Perhaps a mystery or suspense novel :-) !!!
Phyllis P. Colucci My favorite fictional couple would have to be "Cinderella and Prince Charming". It is a love story between a "commoner" and royalty. As a child, being introduced to that simple kind of love through a fairy tale with a happy ending; well, it just leaves one feeling warm, safe and secure inside. As an adult, it teaches us about life, romance and true love. I still enjoy this beautiful tale to this day.
Phyllis P. Colucci My advice for aspiring writers is to always have an open mind and a keen sense of your surroundings. Writers often see things that non-writers do not. That is a gift in and of itself. Also, be sure to jot down any idea that comes into your head, even if you're in bed, ready to slip into dreamland. Those little ideas may be your next great story.
Phyllis P. Colucci I got the idea for my most recent book, by just living life and taking notice of the little things; mainly watching and listening to the people (family and friends) who I come in contact with on a daily basis. I take a little bit of one thing, add it to another, mix it all together, and create my storyline. Then I build the plot from that point on, sometimes never knowing what direction the story will take me until I'm actually there.
Phyllis P. Colucci I think the best thing about being a writer is having the opportunity to turn everyday life into magnificent stories. Just to be able to create unique characters in a world that the writer controls, is magical. - Then to be able to share those stories with the world and, hopefully, take the readers on incredible journeys, is the icing on the cake.
Phyllis P. Colucci I let "writer's block" pass, and run its course, like a nasty cold. In no time, inspirational triggers out there soon invite me back into the world of creativity.
