My second book, Amber Waves of Grace, is centered around a woman who has to come back and run the family farm. As a farm girl myself, I identify with my main character through the love of the land and a good hard day's work.

I people watch. As crazy as that sounds, inspirations for authors come from the world around us. My family also inspires me and, as a lover of all things prairie, oftentimes a simple drive through the country will feed my writer's soul.

Write, write, and then write some more. Fame doesn't happen overnight. In fact, one should not write for fame. There is heartbreak in that. Write because you love it. Write because it makes you happy. And never, never give up!

I love creating worlds through words. I get to meet some pretty awesome people as well who love crafting people and settings.

Writer's block is essentially my brain's way of notifying me there is a glitch in the story somewhere. It's a red flag that some plot element isn't working. So, I go back through the story and try to find where the hitch is. Once I find it, I fix it, and usually the writer's block goes away.
