Greg Robards I think writer's block is a common problem. The way I dealt with it when writing "Escambia Fills" was to go back and refine previous chapters until a new idea came to mind. This is time well spent and might cut off some of the seemingly endless hours of editing and proofreading later on.It proved to be very productive for me.
Greg Robards A writer gets a tremendous sense of accomplishment when producing the finished product. Within the pages of "Escambia Fills" there is a message of encouragement for people of faith on how to handle the challenges of life as well as a clear presentation of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I tried to write the story so that it would appeal to Christians and non-Christians alike. The best thing about being a writer is the hope that the finished product my bring enjoyment and be a blessing to the reader.
Greg Robards Writing is hard work, don't give up. I spoke casually about wanting to write a novel for years, and was always met with criticism. Go ahead and write it down. Work on it and make it your very best. Don't worry about making money or selling your book. You will have plenty of time for that after you produce your masterpiece.
Greg Robards Currently I am working on the sequel to "Escambia Fills" which is book two of the Max Armstrong series.
Greg Robards I try to write a story that I would enjoy reading. I like to know where I am going and play out different scenarios in my mind. When I get excited about the idea, I start writing.
Greg Robards I started by writing down some of my thoughts on one of my favorite passtimes, kayak fishing. Soon those ideas developed into a potiential novel and a year and a half of effort that produced "Escambia Fills."
