Ah! I myself struggled and squiggled out of a mountain range of writer's blocks to finish my first book. Things that work for me:
- Being in Bhopal (pampered child of mother nature). The variety in city landscapes churn your mind for sure.

Just a friendly suggestion... Try 'Currific' genre. Thats 'Fiction for Curriculum'. Simply put, you explain academic concepts through interesting stories. A lot of students will thank you for making their studies fun. I tried that and it works :)

When I go for training sessions in schools and colleges, I always tell the students the importance of Digital Citizenship and Internet Maturity. These are critical life skills in 21st century. But there was no comprehensive book in India on Digital Citizenship and Internet Maturity. The gap was too serious for me to overlook and I decided to fill it myself.
