My next (third) novel is a literary fiction piece about a child growing up and imagining he is a dolphin.

I pick a certain topic or idea and then I start to collect fragments of story to hang around it. I use everything around me: conversations I overhear, people or things I observe around me, and things I see or watch on television.

I was riding the bus with a friend who came up with the idea of writing a novel about the quantum effects from a double-slit experiment. We came up with the idea of writing a story about how this would affect the world.
