I watched it disappear into thin air seven years ago, as I held pressure against the gaping wound and tried not to bleed out before the ambulance arrived. Tonight it came back to finish the job, but I knew it would be back some day, and I was ready for it.

That's a really tough question, but I'd have to say I would travel to the world of the Dark Tower series and become another sidekick for Roland!

Fred and Wilma Flintstone. How can that not be everyone's favorite couple? There is nothing that can shake the two of them apart.

I've never been able to force my way through writer's block. I usually just take a break and read as much as possible. You'd be surprised how fresh your story looks when you let it simmer in a drawer (or a hard drive) for a few weeks, and then read it again before getting back to writing.

I just began the first draft of a story called Driftwood. Its about a carver that discovers a dark family secret through his woodcarvings from driftwood found on his grandfather's lake.

Actually, I have two answers to this. First of all, I love to read. Sometimes when I am reading someone else's work, I will notice something in the story that is a little quirky, and an idea blooms from there.
Secondly, life is just strange sometimes, and little thoughts turn into big thoughts, and a story will grow.
My first novel, The Rabbitry, for instance. The inspiration came from a joke about naming rabbits after people, and then being afraid to butcher the rabbit.

My most recent book (Rain) is in the process of being published. It is a story of one man's struggle with redemption. I got the idea from my own struggles. Everyone seems to have great advice on forgiving others...but the hardest one to forgive is often ourselves.
