I put down my phone and log off of social media. Whether I'm in transit, exercising, shopping, or other activities, I try to shutdown the constant feed from social media and let my imagination provide the show. From there, my stories develop.

Hi Floryie - Thanks for asking. I was targeting late 2015 or early 2016. However, I'm just wrapping up attendance at a writing conference and after explaining the story arcs to someone, I may break book two into two books. The stories will be stronger. I'm still going to target the dates above as I know readers are eager for the next one.

Since I'm writing a multi-book series, I don't tend to find writer's block an issues. However, I did read a helpful tip, which was to stop writing before you finish everything in your head. Often when I'm working on a thread for my story or a series of chapters, I'll stop before I finish them. That way, I have something to start writing when I pick it up again, which is always the hardest moment.

I'm currently working on book two of The Miyran Heir series. I know the events that will occur in each book, which gives me a head start on the writing.

For me, writing is therapeutic. I love becoming lost in my world as it erases daily life issues from my thoughts, at least temporarily. As well, I enjoy the challenge of spinning together the pieces of my world into a cohesive story.
