Thank you! Yes, once you've confirmed your email address, you'll get an email titled "Thanks for subscribing!" with download links to any current freebies (including Wind Tunnel right now). I keep this welcome message up to date whenever I add or change freebies, and I also email current subscribers with any new download links, of course.
If you have any trouble accessing it, please drop me a line through my website and I'll make sure you get the link!

I'm afraid I'm not looking at this for the foreseeable future--I'm pretty locked into Amazon! The Kindle app available for iPad and iPhone is the best solution I've found, but I know it's not great. Sorry! :(
I do have most of my books available in paperback and some in audio, and Buzz is available through several non-Amazon retailers. If I release any other ebooks as freebies, they will be available wide.

I am actually Canadian, and I live in the UK! :)
I choose to use US English because many readers aren't familiar with the differences between US, Canadian, and British English and will rate and review books poorly for "typos" due to non-US English, especially if the book is set in North America. It's easier to standardize my books to relatively American English. Some things, I'm too stubborn to change. For example, I don't like how the word vise looks, and my characters use certain Canadian slang. (Give 'er!)
I chose to set the Riley Brothers series in a small Canadian town in New Brunswick because I wanted to show that many people in small towns can be supportive of LGBT people without needing to struggle about it, yet balance that against the frustrating reality of being gay in a small town; because Atlantic Canada is underrepresented in fiction compared to most American cities; and because the particular city I chose doesn't have a minor league team... among other reasons. :)
Thank you for asking! <3
