My books were always going to be a trilogy, before trilogies ever existed as a popular way to go. That's because my writing covers a three year period and so it made sense to have these memoirs cover one year at a time.

Keep on writing, you just never know where it might go. I never believed my work would be in print, that people would read it, let alone like my work. Slim chance is always better than no chance at all - keep on writing.

The best thing about being a writer for me is the pride I feel that I have ‘actually’ done it! Rather like decorating a room and seeing the end result, the satisfaction of having achieved a project that has been so long in the making. I imagine that is how marathon runners feel when they pass the finish line. I love writing and to think that people really do want to read my thoughts is a wonderful feeling - bordering on exhilaration!

Whenever I get Writer’s Block - which I do get, I work on other ‘stuff’ around the book, such as working on promotions, or have a tidy-up session on all the bits of paper and scribbles about story lines and characters. Tidying up my desk can help unblock my thoughts – a tidy desk helps tidy my mind to allow flow of thought.
