Sarah Barra oh gods that's difficult! I don't actually. When I'm not writing I do other things, I draw, I eat, I watch a movie. At some point the ideas come back (specially at night, oh 3 am ideas!) Also, reading helps a lot. When I'm reading I always gets my characters talking back to me in my head, commenting the story I'm reading or trying to do the things I'm reading (as like, "how [random character] will react to this?]".
Sarah Barra For me it's creating worlds and characters that someone could relate to. Creating characters that feel real and you wish to meet. Also setting amazing worlds and situations you want to live.
Sarah Barra Take a notepad with you. If you forget it, write in your tablet, phone, etc. I even wrote things in napkins. Also, read a lot. Search all the backgrounds to your story. Why things works in the world you created or how your characters feel in different situations. Basically, read a lot, write a lot and so research.
Sarah Barra The second book of the 7th C series: Normal World.
Sarah Barra Taking a walk or doing a random trip. I used to write a lot while taking public transportation. Most of the manuscript of my first book was written during plane flights and trips in public transportation or buses.
Sarah Barra The main plot was created while I drove back home from my last work during 2011. Three songs helped to picture the main idea. But the entire book has different elements that I love from stories, shows and movies.
