Kate Robbins Who was the ghost in my old house?
Kate Robbins I woke with a start to the sound of scratching at my window. My mind wanted me to believe I was still at home in Vermont where the trees would sometimes do that when the wind blew hard—but I was not at home and there were no trees near this house.
Kate Robbins Great question! I would have to say Lizzy Bennett and Fitzwilliam Darcy from Jane Austen's amazing novel, Pride and Prejudice. I love their wit and how they both challenge and compliment one another. I've read the book four times and have seen the 1995 A & E miniseries about 20 times. Definitely my favourite book and my favourite characters.
Kate Robbins Hi Stephanie! I am in the process of writing Prisoner of the Highlander as we speak. I hope it will be available later this year. And I will do my best to make it worth the wait. :)

Cheers!

Kate Robbins Wow, Christine. Thank you for sharing that with me. I have lost many family members over the years for various reasons and have thought a lot about what's on the other side. I do feel that I have been touched by loved ones who have passed and so in some ways, yes, I drew on my own feelings while writing that scene.

I hope your are in good health now. All the best and thank you so much for reading Spirit Stones and for reaching out to me. I am moved that my story touched you.

Kate Robbins I get to create worlds and characters that would not otherwise exist. It's thrilling.
Kate Robbins Don't let anyone tell you to stop. You are only limited by your imagination and determination.
Kate Robbins My next project will be a novella stemming from book one of my Highland Chiefs series, Bound to the Highlander. Two secondary characters from that book, Gwen and Calum, will see their love story come to light very soon.
Kate Robbins I've always enjoyed various forms of creative expression, from painting to crafting, filmmaking, stage directing, and now novel writing. So I guess I've been telling lies...err stories for a long time. ;-)
Kate Robbins My most current release is book three in my Highland Chiefs series, Enemy of the Highlander. The story is a continuation of the series and these characters tend to appear and take on a life of their own. Seriously, they won't let me rest until their story is told.
Kate Robbins I usually take a walk or try to do something completely unrelated to writing and specifically to the story in question. Sometimes it just takes a few moments away so provide clarity.

I also have amazing critique partners who storystorm with me when I need them. I am blessed.
