They have their flaws and insecurities like the rest of us. I wanted to explore that theme in The Old Man from the Stars and combine my love for science fiction as a basis.

I usually go for walks and if I'm writing on a computer, I switch to long hand (pen and paper) and write while watching a baseball or hockey game which allows my mind to wander and cut back on stress. After that, I transfer it to the computer which becomes my "2nd draft"
