This series is something that has kicked around in my head since I was a young lad. It finally came together and poured onto the page when my kids started asking about it.

My family. They are imaginative, and creative, and always keep my mind spinning.

Just write, and write every day. I write a minimum of 1000 words a day. Its not so many that its a hard task, so its very doable. Doing this also helps you to ensure that your work of art doesn't just become "that thing you almost once did." It helps you to ensure the story gets written. There is something so terrifically satisfying about typing the last period of the last page, and sighing "I did it!"

For me, the best thing about being a writer is having the chance to take the stories spinning around in my head, and putting them out there to be read. Some may love them, some may hate them, but that's part of the joy of reading, and the thrill of writing. To share what is dear to your heart.

The thing that works best for me is to remove my mind from the story for a bit. I will open up a document and start typing about my day, or other ideas in my head, and soon I get into a rhythm of typing and my brain slips into story mode. It may seem simple, but it has broken the funk every time for me!
