The Face Transplant was inspired by my work as a surgeon. Thinking about the effects of innovations in the field of Facial Plastic Surgery and how these would affect society at large were instrumental in creating this novel.

The ability to create stories and lose yourself in the story. Writing allows you to create a world exactly as you imagine it.

Take a break. If I have a block, I think it is time to rest and let my subconscious solve the problem. Usually something is not right and that is why I can't continue writing. Sometimes the problem is obvious, other times it is in the subconscious. I just step away and then when I am ready I start writing.
