Hello, Ms. McFadden! I started reading your books in 2024 and I've become a fast fan. Congratulations on all your success! I was curious: are there any plans to re-release some of your paperback books in hardcover editions, "collector's edition" or otherwise?

Freida McFadden Most of my new books should have a corresponding hardcover edition that can be ordered online.

Freida McFadden Thank you! I designed my early covers. The Housemaid cover was designed by Bookouture, and my more recent covers were all designed by Sourcebooks!

Hi, will there be a fourth book in The Housemaid series? I love the way you write!

Freida McFadden There won't be a fourth book, but I did write a short story called The Housemaid's Wedding to fill in the gap between books 2 and 3. This will be released on Nov 22.

Hello! I wanted to ask why (most) the female characters in your book are a little dense and have bad judgment of character?

Freida McFadden If they made only good decisions, the story would probably be over within twenty pages! :)

2) The Housemaid's Secret

Besides The Housemaid and The Boyfriend, do you have any other expected releases coming soon? I LOVE your books and have read so many this year.

Freida McFadden The Widow's Husband's Secret Lie is a novella coming out Aug 12, and The Crash is a full length novel coming out in January of 2025.

If presented with the opportunity, would you ever consider turning one of your novels into a movie or a television series?

Freida McFadden The Housemaid has been optioned for film by Hidden Pictures/Lionsgate, and The Coworker has been optioned by Sony.

If you had to pick a genre other than thrillers to write, what would you choose?

Freida McFadden I have also written three women's fiction novels, and I might eventually write more of them!

What ages do you recommend your books for? Are they appropriate for a 13 year old?

Freida McFadden I think it depends on the 13-year-old, but I can tell you that my books have minimal profanity and no explicit sex scenes. There is definitely violence, but I don't think it is overly gruesome.
