I am currently finishing up the first draft of Delicate Dreams, book 2 of the Verbecks of Idaho. In addition to that I have several chapters of Oblivion finished, book 2 of the Awakener series, and I hope to have the first draft complete by late September.

I don't believe in writer's block. I believe that you write or you don't write. You have to just keep plugging along each day as best you can.

I plan on writing three additional books to the Managing Mayhem series. I was thinking to have the next book be about Logston's love story, but I think my readers would like to see Shots and Rose come together. What are your thoughts on that? Which Managing Mayhem character would you like to see fall in love or learn more about?

Yes i will want to read Rose and Shots story but maybe you can make it so that Logston's begins his love story in that book.

Recently friends have asked what inspired my Managing Mayhem Series . . . Sigh . . . there have been many influences over the past few years. To pick just one would be very hard.
Not to sound generic or to be a brown-noser, but my husband and all his buddies from the LCAC community are the reason Managing Mayhem has come to fruition.
As my husband’s career in the Navy and involvement with the hovercraft community comes to a close. I started to grow sad for him. Not because of the closing of a chapter in his life, but rather sad for all the camaraderie he will soon lose.
Don’t get me wrong, my husband will stay in contact with many of his shipmates or as I like to call them “his harassers.” The thing is he will not see them daily. Although I know he loves me and that we have made a life together I am not arrogant enough to believe that I am his world. He shares his world with these men day after day and he deals with stress that only his fellow comrades can understand.
So I became a thief.
There is nothing more entertaining than setting in the corner of a room listening to and watching the way these men interact. It is a delicate dance of horse play, bantering, passive aggressive opinions, respect, and love beyond blood.
I wrote down many of the great qualities these men have and some not so great. Sorry guys no one is perfect. I mixed up all the character traits and created my most favorite characters.
Thus the Mayhem Managers were born. I could not think of a better way to show my love and respect for the impacted these men have made in my husband’s life and mine indirectly.
But much to the dismay of these men the Mayhem Managers are laced within a romance. Sorry guys no bro-mance for you . . . LOL. After all I write adult romance.
There you have it. If you ever have the opportunity to meet a LCAC crew member, know you are meeting someone special.
