Athena Ellis The book I just finished it's a mix of fiction and non-fiction. It's called "Seoul - A Novel" and as it's title mentions it's about the city of Seoul; a parallel love story of English mother and daughter drawn to the place and people of South Korea.
Athena Ellis I have a good memory of the past and I knew I needed to put certain facts on paper. When the time came, I realised I was not good at writing. I therefore attended years and years of creative writing classes and eventually gained confidence to write.
Athena Ellis In a manner of "write what you know" I wrote about my childhood as a daughter of Greek refugees fleeing the 1949 Civil War. I had no idea at the time, how topical the theme would become. What I knew was that I had a happy childhood and that it was out of ordinary.
