My recent book was Simply Scarlet, the finale to my first erotica series called The Scarlet Erotique Series. The idea for didn't really come from anywhere specific, but as a fan of erotica and bondage I have to admit that I chose to write it because I was disappointed by 50 Shades of Grey, and how grey it seemed to me in regard to how hot and passionate BDSM truly is. Because I wasn't happy as a reader I soon began contemplating using my own written skills to craft out a storyline that I felt showed more truth to the heated frenzy that exists in relationships of that dynamic.

I've always been a storyteller, and a poet. Even before I knew how to write I was crafting elaborate stories, and had a very active imagination. I inspired myself to write because I wanted to take what was already sprouting to life in my head, and put it down on paper so others could enjoy it.

I've been working on a project called the Age of Enlightenment series for a few years now, but in addition to that I have three other story manuscripts I'm still fleshing out.

Throw out the word aspiring to start out with. There is no such thing as an aspiring writer in my eyes. You are either a writer or you are not. Now you may not be a published writer yet, but regardless if you write you are a writer. What type of writer you want to become, or how far you can progress within that title is solely up to you.

Being able to express my thoughts, wishes, and imagination without any disruptions. It's very difficult to get anyone to listen to you on a daily basis and really pay attention, but when you are a writer people look for your words and they desire to know what you have to say.

Writer's block is an interesting topic, and it's one that I kind of grit my teeth at when it's posed because the answer is pretty generic. I've found that most writers have to find something to focus on that inspires their creative spark. I am no different in that sense. I really enjoy taking long drives, and listening to music to get the wheels of creativity moving. It really just depends, but those are my two go-to methods.
