Apart from being paid to make stuff up :-) The part of writing I’ve really enjoyed is interacting with readers and running YA writing workshops. Its so much fun. I’ve also made lots of new writer and blogging friends . . in my opinion you can never have too many good friends.

I’ve always been interested in inequality and how much influence corporations have on our government. It got me thinking about what could happen if there was a apocalyptic event . .who would live, who would die? I suspected that those with the money to pay for their safety would fare a lot better than those without.

I’m always so busy that I rarely suffer from writers block, usually I have the opposite problem - I have too many ideas and not enough time to write them down. Fortunately I live in a beautiful part on the UK so if I do need some inspiration I usually put on my headphones and go for a long walk . . . .loud music and a good hill climb usually sorts out any problems
