S.E. Meyer I am currently working on two projects. The first one is Eden Rising, the third book in my Origins series. The second is Montana Winter Wool, which is a dystopian, medical crime thriller with a kick-ass female main character, set about one generation in the future.
S.E. Meyer Being able to express myself and my ideas. Having the opportunity to share a thought or opinion with thousands of fans is quite rewarding.

However, the very best thing about being a writer is when a fan contacts you and tells you how much they enjoyed your writing or how much your story meant to them. That right there is what makes the incalculable amount of labor involved in writing a book worth every bit of effort.
S.E. Meyer I don't typically have a problem with writers block. I am almost always writing in my head while doing mundane tasks, so I can usually work out the issues of a story I am working on before I actually put words to paper.

I think what happens to a lot of writers is they get so excited about a story that they start to write it down. They write and write and then, un oh, they run into a problem with the plot that has to be addressed. Problem is, now there are 40,000 words written that the writer will have to go back through and change, or there might be several chapters that need to be re-written. I have been there and it is diheartening to say the least.

For me, by having most of the story finished in my head (I do write down notes in the process) before I even write it helps a great deal to ward off any major flaws in the story line, characters, etc., I do still occasionally run into a problem, but it's usally a minor one and can once again be fixed in my head over a bit of time when taking a break from the actual writing.
