Rena Bullard "Stage Your House to Sell: 7 Easy Steps" was born out of my experience as a New York real estate sales person and a homeowner. I coupled what I learned then with my interior decorating knowledge and put a different twist on how a seller can stage their house to sell.
Rena Bullard I trust my instincts.
Rena Bullard I'm super excited about my next non fiction work about decorating styles. It will be an invaluable addition to a D.I.Y. enthusiasts library to create amazing spaces. When you are able to accurately identify the style you want a space to be, it will help you to make the myriad of decisions that you will encounter. Look out for "A Quick Decorating Style Guide: Which one are you?"
Rena Bullard Just start. Aspiring writers are often too concerned with how many pages they will be able to write. But, if you have something to say, and you know there is an audience who wants to read it, just write. The pages will come. And, remember to stop when you feel like you should (this has to be an internal feeling). If you push past that feeling in order to fill pages, everyone will know it. Go for quality over quantity.
Rena Bullard The best thing about being a writer is that the more I give out, the more I can take in. Writing is cathartic. It's like downloading information from a hard drive (my brain) onto a jump drive (a book). Writing frees up space so I can continue learning and giving, learning and giving. It's a wonderful cycle.
Rena Bullard I consider writer's block as part of the process. Writer's block means I need to unplug and step away from my project and do something frivolous and fun like plant in my garden. :-) I don't try to force the words to come. My work needs to come from a place of total peace. That's how I know it will connect and resonate with my readers.
