There are a number of couples I like. For strength of both characters it would be the hero and heroin of David Gammell's Troy series, but my favorite would be Paige and her lover/husband in Kelly Armstrong's Women of the Otherworld series.

My most recent book, Swords and Symmetry, is part of the Core series. The Core is a universal energy field that manifests itself as multiple physical realities with characteristics dependent on the species it was created for. The idea for the Core came from reading authors like Lilly and Sagen, and from spiritual musings during my younger life.
