(view spoiler)[hi,
why did you decide to make Ian's amputation a AK one? Did you have any special reasons or was it just that you decided that he would get shot in the knee and the AK-amputation was just the result? (hide spoiler)]

Hi Selenay,
I saw a guy at the gym who looked a lot like the version of E in my head with an above knee amputation, and he was completely bad ass. That was the moment I decided.
I did a little research into amputations and various prosthetics whilst watching Invictus games in 2014 and I was inspired. I've known since then what was going to happen to E .

Hi Sue,
I'm afriad it's too early for me to set a date yet as I'm still in the writing stages. I'm hoping to have it out by the end of the year, but I work full time, and I'm planning a wedding so it's a bit hard to be sure of a date. I want the book to be perfect as Ian is a complicated man to get down on paper.
I hope you understand and that you'll think Ian is worth the wait.

Hi Mariam,
Ian's story is perhaps the most complicated and there is a real chance that it will become a duet. I'm only in the early stages of writing and not far enough in that I can say for sure. There's a lot of depth of character to cover and Ian is so complicated that I'm not sure one book would do him justice. I've plotted the story as both one and two books and I won't know which why it will go until I get further in.
I'm lucky enough to have a few Arabic speaking friends who helped me with the pronunciation although they weren't fully agreed on exactly how I should spell it!
My partner has some familiarity with Arabic (although he is not fluent) so he will be helping me with any Arabic that comes up in the course of Ian's book.
I love languages which I'm sure comes across in the multitude of bilingual characters and I can't pass up on a chance to enrich my books with other beautiful languages.

I have a few in the works. At this point, it will probably be either the twins or Ian. I think I'll let the readers decide.

Badly. I have to go back to the beginning of the book and read it all over again. Not great when you're 70,000 words in.

The freedom to flex your imagination.
I will always appreciate the fact that my imagination has created characters who are so real to me that I forget they're not.
I can walk past a t-shirt and think "Ooh, the twins would love that."

'A Natural Act' - Craig Carter's book. Definitely one of my favourite amongst the brothers.

More often than not I dream about the characters in my books as if they were really people. It's like writing them down is helping other people see them as real too. It's a huge source of inspiration.

I loved writing the Carter family in the With You series so it was a natural progression to give the brothers their own books.

I like this reason :-) A real life E has to be bad ass, no wonder that you took him as an inspiration
