Devon Hartford Thanks for the question, Adnke! Currently on working on book 2 in my new series The Cruel Kings of Castle Hill Academy. Book 1, Rich Boys vs. Poor Boys just went live! :-D
Devon Hartford Thank you so much, Christine! :-) I'm always thrilled to hear people enjoyed the Victory RUN books, so thank you! Yes, my newest book, The Bad Boy Next Door, releases on January 8th, 2016. :-) As for whether or not it's difficult writing in a genre that is mostly women authors, I don't know because it's the only genre I've ever written in. :-D But I get the impression that romance is highly competitive. I guess I'm used to it. :-)
Devon Hartford Thank you so much, Caroline! Yes, there will be more from Connor and Electra. Not sure when, but I already miss them. :-)
Devon Hartford Hey, Tammy! Thanks for asking. Yes, Connor and Electra will return for more feisty fun. I don't have a date yet set, but their story will continue. :-)
Devon Hartford Hey, Cyndi! I've been working my butt off! ;-) My newest book, The Bad Boy Next Door, releases in a week, on January 8th, 2016
Devon Hartford Thanks for asking. Hopefully you will see more from Sam & Christos this year, 2016. :-)
Devon Hartford At some point. I have Victory TRUE, and the third Victory book outlined and mapped. But writing Victory RUN took a lot out of me. What most people don't know is that all of the songs in the books written by Victory and Kellan are real songs I wrote WHILE working on the book. There's even music for the songs, some of it recorded. But doing the music while writing the book was a tremendous amount of work. I can't imagine going back to write Victory TRUE without also writing music. But just thinking about that much work makes me want to take a vacation. ;-) Don't worry, there will be more from Victory and Kellan at some point. I miss those two, and their story is just beginning. Thanks for asking, Stephanie. :-)
Devon Hartford Hey, Laura! The scene in Painless, when Samantha Smith meets Victory Payne at The Belly Up Tavern in San Diego, occurs shortly before Victory meets Kellan Burns. Thanks for asking. :-)
Devon Hartford I thought I was! :-) But people keep asking for more from them. I guess that romance rule about the Happily Ever After doesn't mean you can't write about the ever after part. ;-) Thanks for asking, Brittany.
Devon Hartford Purely by accident. That guy came out of nowhere like magic in a bottle when I wrote Fearless. Writing him is always a blast, and he appears in many of my books. He's here to stay!
Devon Hartford Hey, Carla! My inspiration for Fearless was San Diego, which is the awesomest place to live, and the art world, which I absolutely love. I just squashed them together and out popped the Story of Samantha Smith. :-)
Devon Hartford Hey, Holley! I've been playing musical instruments of one sort or another since I can remember. So adding music to my stories comes naturally. The amazing thing is the crossover I see between writing lyrics for songs and writing prose for novels. Since I never write poetry, I get more rhyming thing on doing both. Thanks for asking. :-)
Devon Hartford LOL. Thanks for writing, Anna. I guess I have better ESP than I realized. ;-) Now you've got me all curious about what happened to your real life Sam and Christos! How did their story turn out?
Devon Hartford Yes. Hopefully this year, 2016. People keep asking for more, and gee whiz, I miss Samantha and the gang! :-)
Devon Hartford I've always been a huge fan of romantic comedy movies, and I'm never disappointed when whatever I'm watching or reading has a love story thrown in. I also love novels. I mean, LOVE them. Reading rocks. When I realized that passionate romance readers were keeping the written word alive in this digital age, it seemed like a no-brainer to combine my love of books with my love of romantic comedies. Thanks for asking! :-).
