It doesn't mean that getting feedback isn't important as well but the ultimate joy is between you and the book. It's the journey to a place that you will only get to know once you arrive.. and you only get there when you get there. Nobody else knows.

The last book I wrote was the second part of my first book so I guess I might answer the question referring to the previous book instead. So... let's say the idea was just there... in the place where our ideas rest until something or someone awakens them.
I love to read and I also enjoy movies a lot but I think that I just had a tiny idea that attracted other ideas that finally resulted in a story.
