Christopher Surdak When I need to write, I create an appointment to review the work. I only write when I'm facing a deadline, so if I don't have one I manufacture one. That, and going for a long walk helps, too.
Christopher Surdak Following "Jerk," I have my next three books outlined. "Rupture" discusses the social and political impacts of what I discuss in "Jerk." It explains why we have ISIL and why our presidential candidates are who they are. After that is "Averageocracy," which describes why companies become less and less innovative as they mature. "Gutenberg Shrugged" discusses my experience with becoming an author, and the challenges faced by the publishing industry.

Once I get an idea of something to write, I find that aggressive deadlines are the key to actually writing and finishing.

It was apparent that some companies were going to understand and use the data revolution better than others and I wanted to understand what made them different. "Jerk" is thee result of three years of researching that phenomenon.
