A good mystery plot from my life is why do I keep losing things.
I turned 47 years old last month, but I don't think my mind is going...yet. Lately though, it seems I can't put something down without it vaporizing into thin air. The biggest culprit is pens. I buy them, use them for a bit, then they go away. I've armed my self with two cupfuls on my desk in case they all walk off into the sunset. :)

I always thought Rob and Laura Petrie from the "Dick Van Dyke Show" looked like a cool couple. They sang and danced in their living room, with the only problems being tripping over the occasional ottoman.

I think it's because zombies are so much like us. They used to be functioning, everyday people. Now, they are man-eating monsters still dressed in human clothes.
For me, it was a Halloween marathon of "The Walking Dead." My first book was going to have nuclear war as the means of destruction. Seeing all those zombies inspired me to change my mind. I brought out a notebook, and wrote down a few zombie descriptions and how to dispose of them. I made the change that night!

Being able to work your own hours is pretty cool. Also, not having a boss (except yourself) is neat as well.:)

It's the third part of my zombie apocalypse series, "Sometimes We Ran." This one is set about five years after the zombies came, and looks in on a group of survivors that have set up camp somewhere in Alabama.

It sounds weird, but usually I think a lot about the next scene for a while away from the computer. I may even jot a few notes down. Sometimes it takes a while for the idea to get to the front of my brain.:)

Write the story you want to write. If you have an idea of vampires vs. unicorns in a world destroyed by robots, go for it!. Someone is bound to read it.
