Pat Fitzhugh I have several works in process, but they are on the back burner for now, due to some other projects. The other activities will add a great deal of depth and insight to my writing; even though my writing isn't so active right now, the time away from it will actually help it to grow.
Pat Fitzhugh Writer's block means the writer's mind has become clogged with ideas and data. Walk away from it for a while, whatever time it takes for your mind to clear, and then return to your writing. It will still be there waiting for you.
Pat Fitzhugh When someone walks up and asks you to lend them a quarter, all you have to do is tell them, "I'm a writer," and they will instantly stop asking.

2) Never allow anyone, or any company, to take advantage of you.
3) Before you say or do anything in public, ask yourself, "Is this considered professional or ethical?"
4) Don't give away your books that you've worked long and hard on, and put many hours of blood, sweat, and tears into.
Pat Fitzhugh Updated edition of "The Bell Witch - The Full Account," writing my personal memoir of growing up on Kentucky Lake in rural west Tennessee, "From Turkey Creek - A Memoir," writing the sequel to "Ghostly Cries From Dixie," and currently in the research and early writing stages of "The Outlaws and Ghosts of the Natchez Trace." I am also preparing for two upcoming TV roles. Life is busy.

Pat Fitzhugh I got the idea for "The Outlaws and Ghosts of the Natchez Trace" from spending a lot of time on the old footpath, and reading and listening to the many stories of terror--both human and paranormal--associated with it.
