This book was inspired by Sedona and the idea that Soul Mates are possible for each of us.
The 'workcations' in Sedona were fabulous. I am excited about this one. I was editing the beginning chapters a few weeks ago and I laughed out loud. I couldn't help it. It was like I was enjoying a new story. I co-wrote the thing. :))) I Love this Job!

I dream of writing. I dream in dialogue. I'm a crazy book reader. My poor nook has over 600 books in it. When I'm not writing, I'm dreaming, I'm planning, I'm reading...
My books need to be more than just a story. I need them to be filled with intrigue and mysticism. I want the reader to laugh and cry. I want there to be a plot that makes the reader interested in figuring it out. I would love to write a story that on the surface is a really great read and underneath it all would be a treasure for the perceptive reader to discover.

The first draft of Sweet Dream is finished. Mary and I are in the process of the edit.
While all that is going on...I started a book on my own called Perfect Timing. I can't help myself. I love this job!

Join a writers group. I'm an RWA member. The website has helped me with those questions that every aspiring author has. My writing partner Mary joined a local writers group that meets once a month. She reads our work there and gets feedback that is worth the weight of gold. I live so far in the country that getting to a local group is not feasible. So, use your resources available and work out a schedule that puts you in a consistent writing mode. All it takes is time and williness. :)

I love my job! I get to make up stories that are meaningful, inspiring and still adventurous and funny. I get to add scary parts and sweet romantic moments to my hearts content. This is my dream job and I am grateful to be blessed with the time and willingness to write, write, write!
I have also gotten into photography and graphic design. I create my own covers. It's a fever I've attracted. Designing covers is awesome!

I sit down at the same time on same days and stay in the chair until the end of the session. It's tough sometimes, but my dreaming and musing never gets anything substantial done. So, I am a turtle. I never give up and somehow the words come.
