It is the second book in a series, but it's an offshoot of the trilogy about a village that is terrorized by a Dragon, and a young girl who holds a secret. One of the characters from the first book is in it.

Just write. Don't worry about how the book looks or sounds until it's done. Then, rewrite and you'll catch some of the crap that doesn't belong there and the fleshing out that should be there. Finally, get a good editor!

It really depends. Sometimes I just have to leave and try again the next day, sometimes a week. Before I do that, I listen to inspirational music, something in the genre I write. Music is number one when I write so it really helps. Other times I play video games (fantasy, adventure, MMO's, anything with lore and questing.)
