Pam Fluttert I wrote Until Today due to my own personal experiences, hoping that it would help others who have been sexually abused, or who know/suspect someone they know is going through a similar experience. When something terrible happens to us, we often ask ourselves why. Writing this book helped me put an answer to that question - perhaps I could use what happened to me to help others by letting them know they aren't alone and bring more awareness to this problem. At its most basic level, it is a book about hope and overcoming obstacles. It is about choosing to fight for yourself.

According to statistics, our children have a higher chance of being sexually abused than being diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. We hear about a lot of brave people who have fought cancer and won that battle all the time, but how often do we hear about child sexual abuse survivors and the battle they have had to overcome? How many of us understand what that battle entails and that it has lifetime repercussions?
