Harmony Kent Hi Gill

Many thanks for your wonderful review and for reading The Vanished Boy.
I’m thrilled you enjoyed it so much.

Unfortunately, at the moment, my other books are different genres, but I plan to write more like this one.

If you enjoy a blend of mild sci-fi and thrilling post-apocalyptic fiction with plenty of plot twists and surprises, you’ll like FALLOUT, but it’s not a crime/psychological thriller like The Vanished Boy.

Have a wonderful week, and thanks again!

Warmest Wishes

Harmony 🙂
Harmony Kent Hi Jacqueline,

First of all, congratulations on becoming a new author!
Secondly, thank you for your kind words.

Unfortunately, there is no magic bullet for reviews. You have to do a lot of research and connect up with readers and reviewers in your genre. I would say to always, always send a personalised email when making review requests. Never send out a form letter to ‘dear all’.

I would avoid paid review services. Your aim is to get genuine reviews and readers.

I hope this helps!

Wishing you all the best and happy holidays.

Harmony 😊
Harmony Kent Hi John, you can find details on my website (http://www.harmonykent.co.uk/notes-ed...). However, at this point, I am fully booked up until February next year with work. Apologies for that.

Best of luck with everything!

Harmony :)
Harmony Kent Hi Brenda! Thank you for your question. For me, it is about getting exposure in as many places as possible. I've found the promotions run by LovedKissed Books bring good results. I hope this helps! :)
Harmony Kent Hi Shelly! I'm glad you got my email and that it has proved helpful. I appreciate you taking the time and effort to get in touch. All the best, Harmony
Harmony Kent Hi RBN,
Thank you for your question!
I try to write something every day, no matter what it is about, and it doesn't have to be related to my current novel in progress, just so long as I write. I find that the more I exercise my 'writing muscle' the easier it is to sit and produce when I need to. When I have a jam of new ideas, I try and write them all down so that I can go back to them later. I love to write fantasy, but am also a fan of many other genres, as my collection of books attests.
Best of luck with your writing career, and thanks again for getting in touch.

Harmony Kent Hi Queen! Thank you so much for your question :)

I never intended to publish my poetry, but I had written so many, and so many folks loved them, that I decided to share. And I am so glad I did :)
I have always loved poetry, your books included!

I haven't signed ebooks before, but I have now set up with Authorgraph, and you can request an autograph for any of my books here: https://www.authorgraph.com/authors/h... ... I also have it on my Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/HarmonyKentO.... You will also find a widget on my website on My Books page: http://www.harmonykent.co.uk/melody-m...

Hope all this helps! And thanks again for asking. Without you, I may never have taken the plunge into electronic authorgraphing!
Harmony Kent Hi Sharon!

Thank you for your question :)

I realised I wanted to be a writer as soon as I was old enough to hold a pencil! LOL ... it took a bit longer to make it happen though! Even though I was always writing as a child, that kind of got lost during the middle period, and I first published when I turned 40. Now, there's no stopping me :)

Have a lovely weekend.

Hamony :)
Harmony Kent Retraining my spellchecker! LOL ...

I find Fantasy Fiction very easy to write ... but as with any fiction, the trick is to keep your writing fresh and new--unique.

There can also be a tendency toward a LOT of characters within fantasy writing, and this can take some keeping track of ... especially in such a way that your readers can also easily keep track.

Thanks for your question! :)
Harmony Kent It has to be Garl. I just adore his mischief :) A gnome after my own heart!

Thank you for your question ... have a lovely week :)
Harmony Kent Hi, Queen!

Thank you for your question :)

This book took a lot more research than my two previous books did. Also, it being YA, I had to watch what I was writing a lot more carefully!! LOL :) I had a book 'on the side' for when I was in the mood for something grittier! :)

I had to delve back to my teenage self as well, to find some of the authentic feelings and responses of that time.

Please feel free to ask any other questions, and thanks again for stopping by :)
Harmony Kent My books just seem to come to me. I don't really know what sparks the initial idea. It is usually once I am already writing that further inspiration will come from a concrete source: For instance, The Battle for Brisingamen was helped along greatly by an old news article I came across online about Britain's lost 'Atlantis'. And a lot of The Glade ended up hinging on research I came across about ley lines and the Standing Stone, when I was researching about the Forest of Dean. But neither of them started out based on those things!
Harmony Kent Life inspires me. I also have a very active imagination.
Harmony Kent Air-Born . . . Book two in The Mysteries series. Book one--Elemental Earth--is due for release in just two day's time, on July 31st. This series is YA Fantasy fiction, and Elemental Earth has already received 5 Star reviews.
Harmony Kent Write for yourself, and don't get too caught up in what your friends/family/colleagues might think of you if they read what you've produced.

Also, don't underestimate the importance of having your work edited and proof read.
Harmony Kent I get to do what I love best.
Harmony Kent I don't believe in forcing my writing. If the ideas are there, I write. If not, I wait. It doesn't usually take long to resolve itself, not so far anyway.
