Probably more than I know! But I've set aside The Warmth of Other Suns by Isabel Wilkerson. It's about the Great Migration of African-Americans out of the South between 1915 and 1970. I was lucky enough to meet the author at a writers' conference, and I was profoundly impressed with her elegance and erudition. I'm excited for this book!

I don't really have favorites in most categories--ask me my favorite anything and you're likely to get something like a rotating Top Ten List--but off the top of my head, Ma an Pa Ingalls. They go through everything together, adore each other without reservation, and set a perfect example of dignity and mutual respect.
