Steven Radecki That's a tough one!

A lot of the time it's simply sitting down at the keyboard and making myself right at least 350 words a day. Inspiration for a story itself might come from any variety of sources: a news article, a song, a chance remark from someone . . .
Steven Radecki It really began with the question that the son asks in the first sentence of the story, "Can I have a baby brother?" and wondering what lengths a parent might go to in order to make their child happy.

Steven Radecki I usually find something mindless to do--such as washing dishes, vacuuming, or mowing the lawn--and allow my mind to wander. It works almost every time!

(The trick, of course, is remembering what it was when I get back to my keyboard.)
