I think of writing as expressing thoughts that are consuming my mind. So I guess that makes writing and creating stories a form of therapy so I don't go crazy. So the bed thing about being a writer is self administered therapy.

The idea for Maddie and Mook The Message in the Bottle came from finding a real message in a bottle on the island of Jost Van Dyke. The character of Mook the puppy was me just writing about our real dog Mook. His picture is in the book.!The character of Maddie was pulled from imagination about the child we would adopt. The real Maddie is my son Alex.
