Read! And then read some more! Learn from the best out there and develop your writing and fine tune it. We live in a world of write it today, publish it tomorrow. That's fine and all, but be someone who writes and crafts their work and creates books of sustenance.

The best thing about being a writer would be sitting in front of the keyboard with an idea where the story is going, but as you begin writing you sometimes find the story has a mind of its own and even you are surprised by the outcome.

I think writer's block happens when the rest of your life is blocked. When you have a story to tell, it will be told, and there's not much that will stop that from happening. It's a little voice in your head that's constantly writing the next passage or scene in your book. Writer's block to me is when you're trying to force a story into existence instead of letting it grow and develop on its own.
