(view spoiler)[Hey James, interesting question! So, I've always thought of it this way: Soren's gift was natural and came from the fibres of his own body. Wulfric's came from interacting with an external source, the stone. While they derive from the same power source, the Fount, and largely follow the same rules, I wanted there to be distinctions between the two different forms of this ability, Soren being natural, while Wulfric being more 'created', if that makes sense! I hope that answers your question! (hide spoiler)]

Hey, sorry for the delay in answering! The Privateer will be out in audio on 2 July. Up next is Alpha Protocol 4, and Wolf of the North - The Lost Tales 1, both of which I'm hoping to get out in the Autumn. After that, there's a new fantasy series set in a new world. Hoping to release the first book in that next year.

Hi Eden, thanks for getting in touch! The latest update I have for this is a July release. I don't have a specific date yet, but will announce it as soon as I do!

(view spoiler)[Hi Duncan! I just commented on your other post and realized I had a very important question…While I have read all of the Society of the Sword and Wolf of the North I have, sadly, yet to read your other books. But, I have a pressing question having to do with WOTN. What happened to Greyfell? I’m hoping that horses can go to Jorundyr’s Hall. Therefore Wulfric and Greyfall may ride together again. Free at last… (hide spoiler)]

Hi Fenrir, I think it's pretty safe to assume that horses, dogs, and probably some other animal sidekicks find their way to Jorundyr's Hall eventually!

Hi Xavier, thanks! Yes, The Banneret has an audiobook, and it's available today! Sorry for the delay in replying, the question only showed up on my page today!

Hi Stephen,
I'm really glad to hear you're enjoying The Squire! You don't need to read any of my series in order, as they're all stand alone stories. Being set in the same world means there's some cross over of characters and events, but there's nothing in the earlier books that you need to know for the later ones.

Hi Sharan,
I'm working with a different audio publisher for this series, and they have final say on narrator choice. I'm a big fan of Simon's too, and hope he will narrate more of my books in the future!

Honestly, I'm only buying the book because I love what you've created and your writing! But the change in narrator is really making me think twice!

No, I'm afraid not. This story has new main characters.

There are a few years between each trilogy, so different characters will certainly still be alive while newer ones are getting their moment in the sun. I have a world map with all the locations I've visited marked, but it didn't survive the reconstruction of my website. I'll have to post it back up!

Hi,
Yes, there will be an audio version out this July. It was delayed a bit in order to get the perfect narrator for the project!

(view spoiler)[I've read Society of the Sword and Wolf of the North. Great books. Wolf is my favorite. I was wondering what the ending of Wolf means to you. Is it kind of like Romeo and Juliet? A warning to not spend your entire life seeking revenge? Or is it much simpler to that? Just wanted your thoughts. Also does Wulfric definitely get into Jorundyr’s hall? Thank you. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[Hey, thanks! Glad you liked them.
Yep, that's exactly it - that a life spent in the pursuit of revenge is one that's wasted!
Yes, Wulfric got into Jorundyr's Hall. The vision that Jagovere had was of Adalhaid coming to take Wulfric there. (hide spoiler)]

I'm hoping the fantasy will be out late this coming Autumn, although I'll have the first book of a new sci-fi series coming out this summer.
Duncan M. Hamilton
No problem! I don't want to give away too much about the next trilogy, but if you've read to the end of Servant of the Crown, you'll see I introduced something there that'll be a major feature of my next series. New characters and different locations though!
I don't have any real timeline as the events from different trilogies aren't all that relevant to one another beyond some Easter egg type mentions that people who've read the others will get, but that aren't important if you don't.

Hi Mark, for the time being, Solene and Gil's story is at an end. There are events in the Dragonslayer trilogy that will have an impact in upcoming stories though! Thanks for getting in touch!

Hi Joshua, yes, Dragonslayer is set in the same Middle Sea world as Wolf and Society. This time the events are set in Mirabaya, in the West.

Hi Felix, it'll be a trilogy - I've always liked the three act structure a trilogy gives, so that's what I tend to write! Book 2 is out in November, and Book 3 in March, I think, so not too long to wait for the whole lot.

Hi Kyle, I run a closed ARC group that I open for membership every so often. I announce it to my mailing list when I do, but it takes a surprising amount of admin to organise it all, so it's closed for the moment, until I've a little more time.

Hi Liam,
Sorry for the delay. No, I've not really thought about following up First Blade, as in a sense its a prequel for the Society of the Sword trilogy.

Sorry for the delay - I don't call in here often! Wolf of the North takes place after Society of the Sword chronologically, and there are some references back, but both trilogies are stand alone and can be read in any order.
