I've never had a summer reading list, and I don't suppose I'll take it up. I have about thirty books on my kindle ready to be devoured (or at least sampled and pushed aside) and who knows how many may be added to it by the time summer officially begins.
So much of my life is directed by lists. I prefer to handle books the way I do clothes: have a stockpile of potentials around and pick out the one that suits my fancy on a given day. If I get into it and decide it isn't what I wanted, I put it back for later or even get rid of it if it fits that badly.

To be honest, I'm not much of a romance person. Jail and Rima in the Kergulen series are my favorite couple because they don't live for romance and they're great together in so many ways, but aside from my own books, my favorite couple is probably from the movie 'Undercover Blues'. It's a goofy old movie, but I love how they are passionate about each other and at the same time have a great time being parents and crazy kick-butt agents. I think they might have inspired my writing a little bit, even though I haven't seen that movie in forever.
