GATES!!!! I love gates for their mystery. What is behind them? Are they keeping something out? Are they keeping something in? The most fascinating gates to me are the ones that are surrounded by creepy trees or plants. It makes my imagination go wild. I have writing several stories in my head surrounding gates, and I can't wait to put them on paper.

I remember sitting in the theaters, watching the sixth Harry Potter movie and turning to my partner, saying, "We need to start reading these books, we're clearly missing so much." After reading a chapter of Harry Potter, I was inspired. I absolutely loved the magic. But instead of using wands for magic, I knew I wanted to do something different--hands. I am intrigued with the use of hands and powers, similar to some of the powers the X-Men have. I don't know how I got the idea of angels though, I wish I did, but somehow, somewhere in there an angel was born, he lives in my head and he doesn't let me rest. As a thank you for igniting my passion of writing, all of my series titles are an homage to J.K. Rowling.

Inspiration is EVERYWHERE! I get inspired by: music, movies, new people I meet, walks, jogs, drives, dancing. This is just to name a few. Put the phone down, leave it in the car occasionally, take in every moment because you'd never know that a bird can fly by and ignite something inside of you.

Right now I am currently working on two books, one is book two of the Chase Series and it is currently in the editing process. The other book I am working on is the third installment in the Chase Series. Its a bit of a juggling act but I am making sure I am giving each book the attention it needs.

The story will let you know when it is done. One of the biggest questions I get is how I write such long books. Honestly, I write what needs to be written. I know the plot points I need to hit but its the characters that really feed the story with their struggles, feelings and choices. I let them breathe the way they are supposed to, and I try to make them understandable even if you don't agree with them because everyone has a cause for what they are doing and sometimes you need to hear them out. And most importantly, don't compare your work to others. No two books are alike.

I take a break. I don't put a time restraint on myself so I don't feel any pressure, I return when I'm ready. I go out with friends, watch some television or completely scratch the reason why I am blocked in the first place by starting the chapter differently or changing my events. But writers block does blow, especially when I have such a great groove and it comes to a jarring stop.

The best thing about being a writer is unleashing my creative side. I love to create, innovate and imagine and writing doesn't put limits on my thoughts. I can be as big or as small as I want. Writing also helps me escape from the real world and visit my imaginary one.
