Meg Perry Hi Sharon, yes! The next book - Haunted to Death - will be released on Halloween. It'll be a special treat for you all! :D
Meg Perry Hi Maureen, I'm so glad you enjoy Jamie's adventures! The next book, Cloistered to Death, will be out at the end of May. I'll be publishing several short stories to my blog before then, and right now you can read an interview that I did with Jamie and Pete. :-) http://megperrybooks.wordpress.com/
Meg Perry Hi Sheri, yes, the series goes on! Played to Death, #11, will be out in December. There are plans for 20 books. I'm so glad you've enjoyed them! If you like my Facebook page, www.facebook.com/JamieBrodieMysteries, you'll get updates as to when the next book is ready for preorder.
Meg Perry Hi Sharon, the editor tells me he's halfway through the final edits, and my graphic artist has the cover photo, so I'm HOPING that it will be all done and published by Friday. If not, then definitely next week. Also, Researched to Death, #4 in the series, should be available on Smashwords by the weekend as well.
Meg Perry The next book in the Jamie Brodie series, Stoned to Death. Pete and Jamie go to Scotland to look into the mystery of the disappearance of Pete's great-great-grandfather nearly 100 years ago.
Meg Perry Write every day. Find a writing group - people who will give you sound feedback. Find a writing partner - one person who will read all your stuff, and you'll read all of his/hers. My writing partner and I have lunch nearly every day and talk about whatever each of us is working on.
Meg Perry It's fun! And I've gotten to know a lot of people that I wouldn't have otherwise encountered.
Meg Perry I'm usually working on two books at a time. If ideas for one aren't coming, I'll set it aside for a while. If no ideas are coming at all, I'll set everything aside for about a week and just read. Or I'll discuss it with my writing group and get their ideas.
Meg Perry My books usually begin with a question - "What if?" In the case of Stacked to Death, the question was, "What if someone is killing work-study students in the library stacks?" My colleagues at the college library where I work have provided several of the ideas around which I've developed books.
