There's always a very very slim possibility. Almost every series I've written has the chance of a follow up - however I have to be honest that it's unlikely! There are some great new characters coming in 2024 in a new series though - I promise!

Can honestly say I'm heart broken - mainly over no more Lukas, he was too good a character. I will however keep an eye out for these newcomers...

Thank you so very much! I appreciate that a huge amount 😊😊

Hey Naomi
Firebrand and Wolfbrand take place in the same universe, with overlapping characters, and City of Magic and the Fractured Faery are also in the same world as each other. Generally, however, my series have their own individual worlds canonically and in my own imagination 😊

Hey Jelly
Thanks for asking! I'm afraid that there have been some scheduling delays so A Killer's Kiss won't be out in audio until July 25th. It IS coming though x

Hi there,
There will be three books. Hummingbird is out now, the second book Nightingale will be released on November 28th and I am writing the third and final book now which has an expected release date of March - if everything goes to plan!

Hey Brenna
Book five has just been released and there will be a sixth book later in 2022. Beyond that will depend on the characters and how many more stories they have to tell!

Thank you, Amal! When I wrote Slouch Witch I was living in Kuala Lumpur and had a steady stream of stray cats (some feral, some not) present themselves at my door. They all had very individual personalities but the two things they all had in common were a constant desire for food and that they were very 'cat'. Three of them are still with me now back in Britain, and while they have very different temperaments, they all have a bit of Brutus in them too ;)

Thanks, Nicky! There's a fifth book loosely scheduled for December and there will likely be more books beyond that but it will depend on the characters and where the stories go.

You're very welcome! Thank you for taking the time to message!
Unfortunately, it's highly unlikely that Corrigan, Olympiana or Dreamweaver will make it in audio as the latter two series were not popular enough (although I still love them!) while the Corrigan books are only novellas. However, the first Wolfbrand book is being recorded and is scheduled for release on April 27th.

Hi Rohini,
Thanks for getting in touch! There aren't any current plans for more of the Lazy Girl series alas.
All the best,

Hi Wicked,
It's surprisingly easy to get books self-published. For Amazon, all you need to do is to search for Amazon KDP and then create an account with them - it doesn't cost anything. Then you input all the book details - their dashboard is quite self-explanatory and there are a lot of helpful hints on the forums in there as well if you have any formatting issues.
I'm assuming that it's not a fully illustrated children's book but, regardless, you will need to sort out a cover. If you're just looking for something basic because it's for the joy of your mum seeing the book in print, then you can use Amazon's own cover creator. I've not used it myself but I don't think it's complicated. Otherwise, you can look for a professional cover designer online. There are lots! If you don't want to spend a lot then most of them do predesigned covers which tend to be fairly cheap.
You don't just have to stick to Amazon either. If you choose not to enter into the Kindle Unlimited programme, then you don't have to be exclusive with them. It's worth taking a look at Draft2Digital as they make distribution to other retailers very straightforward.
It's such a lovely thing to do for your mum. I hope it works out! Do feel free to ask any other questions about the process if you can't find the answers or help that you need online.

Thank you so much, Alexis! I'm so glad you enjoy them! Unfortunately, ideas aren't the problem - it's having the time to write all those ideas down ;) The more I write, the more inspired I become although sometimes conversations with friends or news articles will spark something off. I have a very long document with all the book ideas which come to me. The one which is the most insistent in my head is the next one to make it to paper.

Thank you for your questions, Heather!
I am indeed self-published. I wrote as a hobby and then self-published on a whim. I was fortunate enough that the first books I wrote found an audience very quickly so I stuck with it and things have grown from there.
I haven't really done any book talks or tours but I do occasionally visit writers' conferences. I will actually be at the Paris Book Fair in March to do a few signings for the French releases of the Lazy Girl's Guide To Magic but there's nothing else planned at the moment. I'm a bit of a last minute person though so who knows what else the year will turn up ;)

Hi there,
I don't tend to rate the books by age but there is quite a lot of swearing in some of them and the odd sex scene, plus there can be violence. Probably 16+ although they are easy reads :)

(view spoiler)[Hi Helen, I loved The Lazy Girl's Guide To Magic series, I just love Ivy . Even knowing Ivy and Winter's history is closed there is space for more. I would like to know if you intend to continue the world of the Order of Magic? I cant stop thinking about, Alistair. What happened to him after that night? How did he felt when the Ipsissimus told him the danger he created? Did he join the Order?Would you write about him? (hide spoiler)]
Helen Harper
There aren't any current plans to write about Alistair (although never say never). I like to think he atoned for the error of his ways and became a wise magic wielder within the Order in the same way that ex-thieves sometimes end up working for the FBI :)

One can only hope. There wasn't much of him in the book but, the more I think about him, the more I see a history. He is the one Ivy risked everything
One can only hope. There wasn't much of him in the book but, the more I think about him, the more I see a history. He is the one Ivy risked everything to give another chance. I'm happy to know he will do something good with this chance. Still, hope to see his history, maybe with one of Brutus' child as a familiar. ;)
