Lonna Enox My advice for aspiring writers is:
1. Believe in yourself. You can do this.
2. Treat writing like a job--work on it regularly.
3. Attend events to mingle with other writers to keep you encouraged and fired up.
4. If you need help, take classes.
5. Remember--if you are a writer, your readers need to be able to read your writing.

Lonna Enox I got the idea for Striking Blind when I overheard someone in a restaurant comment about "the scariest thing I can imagine is a rattlesnake". He went on to say to his companion that it would be a great interrogation technique.
Lonna Enox It isn't difficult for me to get inspired to write. I write everyday--even if it isn't on a book. I write in a journal, and I am an avid penpaller. However, once a story is in progress (i.e. a book) my characters "talk" to me, and they never allow me to just drop their story.
Lonna Enox The best thing about being a writer is that I can work anywhere and any time. I am comfortable being home and writing, but I've written at hotels while traveling to book events as well.
Lonna Enox I'm currently writing on my third Sorrel Janes mystery which I've titled "Striking Blind".
