Mark Boyd Good Morning, Both books are available on Kindle through Amazon. I will email you the links, if you send me your email address. Mine is mark@adragonstale.net. I am currently working on book three and am about 100 pages into it. I am hoping to have it out by summer of next year. I am in the process of retiring and getting my knees replaced so I should have time to write. Blessings and thanks for your feedback.
Mark Boyd In my world, inspiration comes with the desire to tell a story. Part of that inspiration also comes with reviews on the story you're telling. Should they not be good, then learn from your readers. Remember...you'll never please everyone and reviews are just opinions. But, play to the majority. Inspiration for me also comes at night or 2 to 3 am, when I'm getting bombarded by the movie. Learn, read, be open to criticism, and listen to your story tellers in your mind. They're waiting impatiently for you to start typing.
Mark Boyd I am working on my fourth novel, Texas Fire. This is the first book in a series called: A Dragon's Legacy..It is currently scheduled for a late fall release 2018. I'm seriously stoked by this one.
Mark Boyd Sit down and write. Find a good mentor or editor but don't get caught up in trying to write the perfect novel. That is what editing is for and believe me, you will edit, edit, edit and when you think you're through...edit again.
Mark Boyd I love to read, and get involved in the stories. I have found that writing is doubly exciting. It's my time to create the story I'm reading. Being character driven in my writing, I'm watching a movie my dragon staff is playing and I'm the screen writer, putting their movie in print. I never have any idea where they are taking me but it always comes together. Often I sit back and go - "wow" after I have written a chapter. You can never learn enough when it comes to this craft.
Mark Boyd Writers block happens to everyone. It's not a matter of "if" it's really just "when". Have faith in your writing. When I'm inspired I write, but, I don't beat myself up if I haven't written in a few days. My writing flows to me through the 'ethernet' and sometimes my dragon friends are off playing. So, I play with them. It takes all the stress out of producing a good manuscript.
