I lived/experienced most of what I write, so I get to relive interesting parts of my life. And I really do enjoy it. Sometimes you have to look deep inside to see who you really are, and it may not be the person you previously thought!

Final rewrites of my 4th novel, and the first in my new "Hardin Steel" series, "south of good". Shooting to have it out by end of Aug. 2014. Planning a release party at Paragraphs Book Store on South Padre Island (TX) on 9/27.

Know your subject matter, write 5x a week, do your research, and hire a damned good copyeditor! I work out a starting point and an idea for the ending and I start writing. When it's flowing, keep hammering away; you can edit later, but you might not have the "flow" later.

Letting the characters run ... it's amazing where they'll take you, if you give them the chance!
