For Destination Happiness, I got the idea because in my research about productivity I found that happiness multiplies everything. I went deeper and ended up teaching a class about happiness at a known Swiss Business School. The class had 12 modules. I transformed it into a book with 12 chapters.

William Faulkner once said “I only write when inspiration strikes. Fortunately, it strikes at nine every morning.”
For me, it's the same, just that my inspiration strikes at 6.30 every morning :)

I'm currently writing a "people skills book" for the Japanese market. I'll probably publish in English in September. At the same time, I'm preparing to launch a "Self-esteem book" in the coming months.

Don't think about writing a whole book. Write 250 words a day.
Don't edit while you write. It's only a first draft. Once the first draft is done go over it again and then give it to a (freelance) editor.

I've never faced writer's block. Before starting every book, I spend three to six hours outlining the book. I get clear about which chapters I want to write.
Then I start with the chapters that come to me easiest and move from chapter to chapter. By the time it becomes difficult to "find inspiration" for the chapters that are not as easy to write more than half the book is done and I use the momentum.
